The Chanson Stage 1 Ultra Filter is the worlds first “non clogging” .01 micron filter. It will provide SAFE, great tasting water regardless of source water issues and has passed bacterial tests running unfiltered lake water direct! The Chanson Ultra Filter element is made in the USA by the worlds largest membrane producer. Chanson then takes that element and creates our backwashing Ultra Filter housing. Advantages Over UV Light Technology
UV light as a bacterial killer has many flaws. If the UV bulb gets even the slightest haze on it, the UV light becomes ineffective at killing bacteria, and the speed at which the water flows past the light makes it difficult to be effective (and you may not know when the bulb stops working). Most disturbingly, after a UV light kills bacteria, the bacteria remains in the water for you to consume! But the Chanson Stage 1 Ultra Filter easily traps and removes 99.9% of all bacteria due to its 0.1 micron size (most bacteria is .02 micron).
